Introduction to Motion and Logic Controllers

In industry, processes are automated using motion and logic controllers. At their core, motion and logic controllers are the “brains” of an automating operation, meaning that they are programmed to control a number of tasks, collect information about the task, and process that information (to a degree) in order to either correct or continue performing the task. It should be noted that a motion controller is a specialized, dedicated type of logic controller.  There are various types of controllers with overlapping capability, but each have their own benefits.
